While managing with your stress and avoiding all those things which lead towards anxiety and stress, one is practically unable to cope up with all arenas of dealing stress. Balance diet with appropriate intake of vitamins is a major factor living a stress free life because “health is wealth” which is only achieved through balanced supply of nutrients like minerals, vitamins, proteins, fats, carbohydrates, calories, fiber, etc.

The intake of vitamins also depends on person’s circumstances. Fetus starts to develop healthy provided the required nutrients are present in mother’s body at the time of conception. It requires some important vitamins and minerals to be present in mother’s body. Some serious health deficiencies can be developed in child’s body during birth, after birth or even at any stage of life which lead to a stressful life because of vitamin deficiency but can be fulfilled by consuming adequate amount of supplements. In stress management for parents, taking ample vitamins to keep the levels balanced is very important.

Vitamin Supplements for Stress management

There are different multivitamin labels present in the market but only taking multivitamin bottle is not the solution indeed. Deficiencies of vitamins are divided into two categories either primary or secondary. A primary deficiency comes when you do not get good vitamin rich food and on the other hand secondary deficiency can be developed when your body limits or prevents the absorption of vitamins due to smoking, consumption of alcohol or use of any drug which prevents the absorption of vitamins. There could be side effects in taking large doses but its likelihood is minimal from consuming too much of any vitamin from your daily food intake but are higher from additional supplements you take therefore you need to be conscious of overdosing.

Types of Vitamins intake for Stress Management

Though there are vitamins present in our daily meals but they vary, some food items have more vitamins and some have less in them. You only know vitamins are good for your body but the problem is which ones your body really requires. Vitamins fall into two types: water-soluble and fat-soluble. We are made of thirteen vitamins vitamin A, D, E and K are four fat-soluble vitamins and eight water-soluble vitamins are B1, B2, B12, B5, B7, B6, B3 and vitamin B9 which is Folic acid, the thirteenth warrior is vitamin C which is very good for stress management.

Water-soluble

As the name itself defining the term, water-soluble vitamins are those which can easily dissolve in water and also can easily be excreted from the body through urination. Since your body does not store them, you need consistent daily intake of these kinds of vitamins.

Fat-soluble:

These vitamins can store themselves and are absorbed by your body with the help of fats. As they do not need daily supply unless in a particular health condition, you need not to worry about them.

Minerals Supplements for Stress control:

Vitamins are organic substance made by animals and plants. Recent research has proved that people who have low level of vitamin B12, B6, and folic acid may become a victim of heart problem and other deadly diseases and these lack of vitamins are also a reason of anxiety, stress and anger. Taking a good supplement of B12, B6 and folic acid will help you in relief from stress and other chronic diseases.

In contrary to vitamins, minerals are inorganic elements come from soil and water, eaten by animals and absorbed by plants such as chromium, copper, iron, iodine, zinc and calcium. We need these minerals to grow and stay healthy but need very small quantity of these minerals each day to stay healthy and stress free. Being deficient in vitamins and getting under stressed is called ‘vitamin stress’ in medical terms and you can easily avoid it by taking adequate supply of vitamins.
